Upon information and belief, this $47.5 million settlement is the largest amount ever recovered (i.e., collected) by any single personal injury plaintiff in Virginia. The previous high-water mark is believed to have been $30 million. As the case was resolved on terms of strict confidentiality, no further information can be publicly disclosed.
